The community is built around a social square where blooming frangipani, bougainvilleas, ferns, and mulberry cast soft shadows. The pool merges into this softscape and fringes on the coffee plantation. The court is defined by jagli or verandahs of the old house and cottages. This place would have been impossible without the local workmen, women, and their support. The quait an lazy verandahs overlook the swimming pool, which reflects the birds and the sky.
The garden features multiple species of flora and fauna, which is also visited by more than two hundred species of birds. It is curated in an Asian style with artefacts, both old and new, sun decks and daybeds. The transition is fluid between the eclectic softscape and the Malnad architecture.
